Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar came out with her first music album 'Saadgi' (simplicity), in more than 17 years, on Thursday.
The album, titled 'Saadgi' (simplicity), was released by renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh in the presence of prominent music personalities like Suresh Wadkar and Lata's sister Usha Mangeshkar.
"There is no reason why the album happened, but it has just happened. Nothing was pre-planned. Everything just fell into place. The lyrics appealed to me and I could identify with it," Lata was quoted as saying in a release.
The lyrics for the album have been penned by Javed Akhtar and the music is by Mayuresh Pai.
